Chase Manhattan Bank signed IBM Corp’s Integrated Systems Solutions Co to a multi-year service agreement; financial terms were not disclosed but Integrated Systems will consolidate Chase’s regional banking systems throughout New York, Maryland and Connecticut into a single computing system that links its 350 branches to one another through Chase’s data centre in New York – which sounds as if a lot of mainframes will have to be retired; the agreement is in addition to the multiyear service pact signed in 1992 between Integrated Systems and Chase Connecticut.
