Mobile chalkboard is an application suite that enables the creation and tracked deployment of media-rich pushcasts to BlackBerry smartphones. Pushcasts facilitate targeted content delivery with notifications and can include large media assets such as video or audio files, as well as surveys, click-to-call/email requests and tests.
According to Chalk Media, Mobile chalkboard can be used by the enterprises to wirelessly send sensitive or media-rich communications, provide performance support, and extend compliance programs. Under the contract, the management firm expects to cut overheads and save money on internal training and priority communications.
Stewart Walchli, president and CEO of Chalk, said: “This deal is a validation of our software as this client is a very highly regarded and influential member of the BlackBerry community. Given the current challenges in the financial services sector, for the past several quarters we have focused the vast majority of our sales efforts on companies in industry verticals such as telecommunications, media, professional services and pharmaceuticals. Nonetheless, it is great to see a deal come through in this large market segment.”
