Sprint Corp and its soon to be acquired Centel Corp chose yesterday’s US Presidents’ Day holiday to announce that about 150 workers will be laid off in the consolidation of Centel’s data operations in Lincoln, Nebraska with Sprint’s Kansas and Florida regional data centres, which is expected to be finished in first quarter 1994.
