SFR will make the BlackBerry Storm available with pre-orders accepted from November 2008. The device comes with two new Illimythics 3G+ plan options for the BlackBerry Storm.
BlackBerry Storm smartphone features: preloaded DataViz Documents to Go, which enables users to edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly on the handset; 3.2 megapixel camera, with variable zoom, and auto focus; built-in GPS supports location-based applications and services, as well as the geotagging of photos; 1GB of on board memory storage and a microSD/SDHD memory card slot that supports up to 16GB of additional storage; media player; and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.
The BlackBerry Storm comes with SurePress touch-screen technology for both typing and navigation. It can be used in portrait or landscape mode with its built-in orientation sensor (accelerometer). When in portrait mode, users can type out an instant message or dial a number using either RIM’s SureType keyboard system or a 12-key multi-tap keyboard layout. When the handset is rotated to landscape, the user is presented with a full AZERTY keyboard.
The BlackBerry Storm smartphone’s built-in media player can handle a number of music formats. Users can download music files directly from Music section of the Vodafone Live! Portal and their music can also be synchronised with iTunes.
