AT&T has expanded its Telepresence Solution availability to Mexico. The service is available in cooperation with a local telecommunications supplier.

According to AT&T, the Telepresence Solution, a fully-managed service enabled by Cisco TelePresence, provides a ‘meet me’ feature with a secure PIN code that enhance intercompany calling. It also offers multipoint functionality intercompany capabilities, which allow multiple locations within and between companies to connect to each other.

AT&T claims that the service allows companies in Mexico to connect to their customers, suppliers and partners worldwide in a cost-effective way while also reducing environmental impacts.

Walter Bona, sales centre vice president of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean at AT&T Business Solutions, said: We are pleased to announce the expansion of AT&T Telepresence Solution in Mexico, as it allows to further extend our portfolio of managed application services to companies that are focused on improving their productivity and collaboration throughout their multiple locations in Mexico, the Latin America region and globally.

AT&T said that the Telepresence Solution provides AT&T-owned or customer-owned Cisco TelePresence equipment, installation, full monitoring and management of the application, remote help desk service and on-site equipment maintenance and repair and works over AT&T Virtual Private Network transport.
