AT&T Government Solutions, together with Oracle and Avaya, has introduced an integrated and customisable telework technology offering for federal agencies seeking to develop and expand telework options for their employees.

The telework offerings include an array of technologies and support capabilities, which include: broadband network access, security services, cloud computing offerings, mobility services and devices, equipment, software, and applications, such as Web-based conferencing and voice-over-IP (VoIP) services.

In addition, the offering includes consulting services, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software for online telework enablement, and an application platform for developing management reports and metrics that identify efficiency gains and cost-savings resulting from telework, said the company.

AT&T said the suite of telework technologies can be customised to address the evolving federal workplace needs and requirements for the three major telework user categories: on-demand users for disaster recovery and continuity of operations; full-time or frequent-use teleworkers; and part-time or occasional-use teleworkers.

AT&T Government Solutions senior vice-president Thomas Harvey said as the federal workplace evolves and moves toward teleworking, agencies will need technology offerings that are available on-demand and provide the reliability and security to maintain the critical continuity of the federal government.

"Our telework offerings incorporate cloud computing services, such as AT&T Synaptic Storage and software as service, which provide a cost-effective means of supporting telework on-demand for continuity of operations," Harvey said.

"With AT&T’s telework offerings, federal agencies of all sizes have ability to deliver flexible and mobile workplace offerings to a wide range of federal employees. AT&T, Avaya, and Oracle are committed to working with federal agencies and employees to realise the enormous potential of teleworking."

AT&T plans to introduce the suite of telework offerings under the GSA Networx contracts.
