Allen Systems Group (ASG), a software offerings provider, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PS’Soft, a provider of IT Asset and Service Management software.
Through this acquisition ASG is expected to strengthen its product strategy, designed to automate data centre operations and strengthen customers’ ability to both manage and deliver IT services critical to business processes.
The PS’Soft IT Service Management Next Generation (ITSMNG) suite includes a Service Desk with incident, problem, change, configuration, release, service level and availability management processes.
In addition, PS’Soft Service Management enables users to manage the full lifecycle of IT services and complements ASG’s automated discovery, analytics, native dependency mapping and model-based approach, the company said.
PS’Soft IT Asset Management Next Generation (ITAMNG) is an integrated asset-management offering which when aligned on ITIL practices, helps customers optimise the way they manage hardware and software resources.
ASG chief executive officer Arthur Allen said with the introduction of virtualisation and Web-based technologies, their customers are looking for a dynamic IT service environment that can keep pace with the rapid rate of change and growing complexity.
"Our application dependency and change management expertise coupled with PS’Soft’s excellence in service management makes us a collective driving force in delivering end user satisfaction with customers," Allen said.
