French-based mobile service providers Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom have partnered with telecommunications firm Alcatel-Lucent to launch YouConnect.
YouConnect is a Beta service that will simplify consumers effort to input information to mobile applications and websites via their mobile phone or tablet device.
The new service will enable consumers to upload the information they regularly supply online services and then gives permission with a single click, for that personal profile to be accessed securely when requested by a vendor or service provider.
Alcatel-Lucent EMEA president Stephen Carter said YouConnect is helping to address the need for mobile commerce in France.
"By coming together, the four members of YouConnect have found a solution that addresses the needs of these businesses without the cumbersome process of having to create individual systems for each service provider," Carter said.
YouConnect utilises Alcatel-Lucent’s Open API platform to provide a new for service providers to work with enterprise partners and application developers to create valuable sites for mobile subscribers.
