Bharti Airtel has rolled out a corporate mailing service for SMBs across India – Airtel Hosted Mail – powered by Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. It will offer SMBs a mailing service with an inbox up to 4 GB.

Airtel said that the new mailing service will offer SMBs a range of communication tools allowing them to share email messages, contacts, calendars, work folders, task list and documents from either their PC or mobile phone.

The new mailing service comes with web interface; built-in anti-spam and anti-virus technologies; Search service through mail content, contacts and attachments; and phone-based support for all queries, the company said.

According to Airtel, the new mailing service will be available in two versions: Pro Mail at INR80 per user/ month which offers an inbox of 2 GB with an attachment limit of 10 MB; and Business Mail at INR220 per user/ month which offers an inbox of 4 GB with attachment limit of 20 MB.

In addition, a basic version powered by Nivio Web Mail is available. Basic Mail at INR25 per user/ month offers an inbox of 1 GB with attachment limit of 10 MB, built-in anti-spam and anti-virus security.
