CSC said that US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Information Technology Infrastructure Operations indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, which has a three-year base period and four one-year options. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company’s second quarter fiscal 2010 that ended on October 2, 2009.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC is one of two companies eligible to compete for task orders in two of the four functional areas defined in the IDIQ.

The company said that it will compete to provide web services, including internet and remote access to the HHS server, and hardware and software services such as network file sharing, data backup and restoring, help desk and desk side support, and network administration.

Tom Anderson, president of North American public sector civil and government health services group at CSC, said: CSC is committed to providing cost-effective and flexible enterprise solutions to meet HHS business requirements. We will enhance the agency’s technical capabilities by improving security, increasing reliability and standardizing procedures and processes.
