One thing that Cray Electronics Plc – soon to be Anite Group Plc – didn’t tell anybody on Tuesday when it denied that it wanted out of hardware, was that it is selling its US end – primarily the Rixon Inc data communications equipment business picked up by Case Group Plc some 15 or so years ago. The buyer is Santa Monica, California-based Osicom Technologies Inc, which is paying $14m in cash and $3m in preferred stock for Cray Communications Inc, which it says is currently profitable, and is expected to add about $28m to Osicom’s annual revenues.
