Aware that its existing IT infrastructure could no longer support continued growth of such a complex organization, Contec selected IFS Applications. The company hopes IFS’ business software will enhance its ability to satisfy its customers and manage complexity while continuing to grow.
Integrating Contec’s standalone systems into a single enterprise system should enable the company to handle additional sales growth without adding head count to its operational team.
Aside from simplification, we expect that the system will lead to good long-term cost savings from modules such as the enhanced planning systems, said Contec CEO Jack McBride. Improved planning will enable us to reduce inventory and focus on other initiatives, such as lean manufacturing.
