Wyse Technology, a provider of cloud client computing, has launched new PockerCloud 1.2 for Android, a mobile virtualisation app.
The new PocketCloud for Android is a free app, which brings performance enhancements for all Android devices, with an emphasis on new user interface features and speed built on the new Android 3.0 APIs.
The new mobile app is specifically designed to take advantage of Honeycomb’s tablet-oriented capabilities and provide remote access experience on Android tablets.
The new offering comes with updates including a Honeycomb-inspired interface that takes full advantage of the larger screen, with new layouts, navigation and user interface elements, said the company.
In addition, the tablet-optimised offering comes with the Auto Discovery feature out of beta, which makes setup using the PocketCloud Windows or Mac Companion easy.
Wyse mobile cloud business unit general manager Daniel Barreto said the goal at Wyse is to thrill their customers with features and usability that make a real impact on how they live and work.
"We listened carefully to their needs and created this version of PocketCloud, making it a great combination with Android 3.0 tablets that will have even more of them leaving their laptops behind," Barreto said.
