Wyse Technology, a cloud client computing firm, has introduced a new self-configuring client technology for the cloud and Wyse-enhanced Microsoft Windows Embedded virtual desktop environments.
The new configuration manager, called Wyse Configuration Manager (WCM), provides automatic client management across all of its OS (Wyse Zero, Wyse ThinOS, Linux, and Windows Embedded).
The offering provides simplicity to the management of virtual desktops by allowing IT departments to auto-configure thin clients based on Wyse-enhanced Windows Embedded Standard 7.
In addition, by automating the deployment of Windows Embedded Standard 7 thin clients throughout a private cloud, WCM offers multiple benefits to organisations.
Wyse Technology product management senior director Param Desai said being able to centrally and automatically deploy multiple thin client types, including those based on Microsoft’s new Windows Embedded Standard 7 platform, is one of the industry’s-first.
