Thomson-CSF SA reports that it has upped its stake in the Amper Programas SA subsidiary of the Madrid-based communications equipment group Amper SA to 30% from 21%, paying Amper $3.08m. Following this development, Amper Programas, a market leader in the military communications sector, will increase its capital by $7.46m. Thomson has committed to increasing its stake in Amper Programas over the next few years to the point where the French company will hold 49%. Meanwhile, thanks to the cuts in staff it has made, the company has managed to lift the suspension of debt payments that has been clouding the horizon of its domestic terminals subsidiary Cosesa.
