Super Micro Computer, a provider of server technology and green computing, will launch its new SuperServers at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan.

The new MicroCloud (5037MC-H8TRF), is a multi-node UP server with 8/16 hot-pluggable nodes and 16 hot-swappable HDDs in a compact 3U form factor; and each independent node supports an Intel Xeon E3-1200 processor and a PCI-E 2.0 x8 expansion slot.

The company said that its new high-end GPU SuperServers pack is a 4GPUs in 1U and provides high-density HPC, up to 6 GPUs in a slim 2U.

The enterprise-class SuperServers are designed to provide advanced energy-efficient components, optimised cooling designs and redundant Platinum Level (94%+) power supplies.

In addition, the new offerings support NVIDIA CUDA architecture-based Tesla M2050, M2070 and M2090 GPUs to generate parallel processing power for compute-intensive HPC applications.

The company will also launch an array of server technologies and offerings at Computex including: 8-Way, 5U SuperServer; SuperBlade Family; Twin Server Family; and 10GbE Switches.

Supermicro president and CEO Charles Liang said the company is excited to unveil their new server innovations at Computex 2011.

"The new multi-GPU SuperServers take supercomputing to new levels with high-density, clusterable HPC offerings offering price/performance on the market," Liang said
