SugarCRM, a provider of commercial open source CRM software, has partnered with Tata Communications, to offer SugarCRM’s On-Demand CRM services to small, medium and large enterprises in India.

SugarCRM said its services offers customers control and lower risk for their CRM deployment by delivering its services over the web via the cloud or software-as-a-service model.

By partnering with SugarCRM, Tata Communications’s customers can gain access to an on-demand CRM service that reduce the risks and costs associated with proprietary on-demand services. Tata Communications will manage this service out of its datacenters, according to SugarCRM.

Alok Bardiya, vice president of partner and alliance strategy at Tata Communications, said: The market for on-demand CRM in India is over INR1.5 billion ($32 million) in 2009 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 50-60% for the next few years. With our infrastructure and leadership in emerging markets, Tata Communications is positioned to serve this market need.
