Cloud and mobile testing firm SOASTA has partnered with New Relic, the SaaS-based cloud application performance management provider to integrate New Relic’s application performance management application on its CloudTest platform.

The integrated application will offer developers visibility into the performance of their web applications throughout the entire application development lifecycle.

Developers can now build performance tests to assure the enhanced test coverage and tune their apps, said the company.

The SOASTA CloudTest platform offers a single, integrated platform for functional and performance testing. It also offers a set of components and access options that enable teams of any size to execute frequent functional and performance tests from inside the lab through to live production.

New Relic’s SaaS application combines real user monitoring, server monitoring, application monitoring, and availability monitoring in a single app enabling developers and operations teams to monitor, troubleshoot and tune application performance.

Together, New Relic and SOASTA CloudTest can be deployed in minutes, enabling users to build and run functional and performance tests of web applications, and then monitor, troubleshoot and tune their applications quickly and easily.

The partnership will see all SOASTA customers receive New Relic Standard free of charge and SOASTA CloudTest Lite is available to all New Relic customers. Both products are also available on different developer and cloud platforms including VMware CloudFoundry, CollabNet CloudForge, OpenStack and HP Cloud Services.

SOASTA CEO Tom Lounibos said, "The integration of New Relic onto the CloudTest platform allows for a seamless flow of communication and quick exchange of information between teams throughout the dev-test-management process."
