Sky Betting & Gaming is using cloud-based intranet platform Interact to connect its workforce.

The gambling platform, which separated from the main Sky business in 2015, launched its intranet for 1251 users at the beginning of 2016. It is now moving it onto Interact’s platform.

Users had originally had only limited functionality and resource space, but Interact will allow them to upgrade to a single easy-to-use solution allowing workers to quickly access and collaborate on content.

The platform is also used by Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Cineworld and New York Racing Association for their internal communications, with a total of oved by over 1,000,000 users worldwide.

Interact says that its software is ‘intelligent’, using information about employee interactions with the intranet to tailor the content that they see and make it a more effective platform.

Joel Turner, Internal Communication and Engagement Manager at Sky Betting & Gaming, said: "Interact‘s intelligent intranet enables us to ensure communications are seen by all our people wherever they are, tailoring content to audiences to keep it relevant, informative and engaging, as we strive to make betting and gaming better for all our customers."

Nigel Danson, Interact CEO, said: "Moving away from the much larger Sky business provided Sky Betting & Gaming with the opportunity to develop their own, bespoke intranet which more closely reflected their organisation and culture.

"Whilst many solutions can deliver on some level, there are few that offer intelligent functionality that learns the preferences of the user, whilst being an integrated and centralised platform that is scalable as the business grows."
