SAP has announced its new SAP Cloud for Analytics, a software as a service (SaaS) offering which puts user analytics under one roof.
Built natively on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform, the firm wants to extend Cloud for Analytics into a fully scalable, multi-tenent environment.
It says it will help client unify their business intelligence, allow finance professionals and analysts to build connected planning models, and give clients the ability to spot market trends.
Steve Lucas, president, Platform Solutions, SAP, said: “The challenge with analytics solutions on the market today, cloud or otherwise, is the silo approach to delivering capabilities such as visualisation and forecasting."
SAP is also working with customers and partners, notably Google, to extend its SaaS analytics solutions. "SAP and Google are collaborating to extend powerful analytic capabilities to customers,” said Prabhakar Raghavan, VP Engineering, Google Apps.
