Salesforce has unveiled a new series of apps targeted at specific roles inside organisations.

The company has expanded its Analytics Cloud portfolio with Wave Analytics Apps, which will feature accelerator templates, historical analysis and wave actions.

The first one in the new line of apps is Sales Wave Analytics, which will enable sales leaders to manage forecasts, pipelines, team performance and more to speed up business growth

The app includes a preconfigured templates sales accelerator, allowing users to explore all Salesforce sales data from pipeline management and forecasting to quarterly business reviews.

Wave Analytics Apps will instantly populate CRM data into role-specific accelerator templates for rapid deployment. They will also surface historical trends and year-over-year comparisons from any device.

Salesforce president of products Alex Dayon said: "Until today, analytics were not built for everyone.

"We are changing the game by combining intuitive analytics with business processes in Wave Analytics Apps, so every business user can not only see performance in real-time, but also take actions directly within the apps."

Currently in pilot testing, Sales Wave Analytics is anticipated to be generally available in English later this year on a monthly, per-user subscription model.

It will be available on iOS for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch as well. The company said further language and device support will follow.
