Rockstar North, the maker of Grand Theft Auto, is anticipated to launch the desktop version of the latest GTA game during the first quarter of 2014, reports suggest.

Citing multiple reports, news site Eurogamer claims that the PC version of the popular crime simulator is currently in works from retailers.

On 01 October, Rockstar had launched the online version of the game, which enables simultaneous interaction of up to 16 players and allows creating personalised avatars.

The firm also released new fix the PS3 and Xbox 360 console versions of GTA V, which would deal with the Online mode of chief bugs.

The gamemaker said in a statement that title update would resolve the cause of players losing their gameplay progress except for some specific instances where players purchase a vehicle and the save does not occur due to a cloud save failure.

"A fix for that particular issue is being worked on and we will provide an update as soon as we know when this will be resolved," the gaming firm added.

The 18-rated violent crime game comes with 500 missions and a lot of other leisure time activities for players without excluding any of the crime, jobs, sports, races, and modifications, and also allows making money flow and status.

In addition, the controversial Rockstar game also moved into Guinness Book of Records, with seven entries.
