The Fedora Project has developed the Fedora 22 with enhancements to its support for Linux and Docker.
The community driven open source project is sponsored by Red Hat and offers the Fedora Cloud, Fedora Server and Fedora Workstation.
The enhancements to the solution should improve the usability and flexibility with Linux container deployments that help to deliver open-source innovation.
As part of the Linux improvement an updated package manager for RPB based distributions has been added.
Within the cloud enhancements the Atomic Host will now include the Atomic command, which provides an entry point for managing hosts and containers.
Fedora has added to its server by providing support for the Database Server Role based on PostgreSQL. The server edition will also default to the XFS file system in order to provide faster crash recovery.
Improvements have been made to its Workstation with bug notifications and GNOME’s desktop themes which have been refined to improve usability.
