Cross-device mobile application development platform developer Pyxis Mobile has introduced its enhanced hosted mobility offering with a new cloud-based option.
The company said the new offering will enable its customers to securely build, deploy and manage enterprise-grade mobile applications as well as maintain complete control over their development process and corporate data.
The enhanced version of its mobile hosted offering now offers customers the option to choose between fully dedicated servers or a cloud-based option, which enables network availability, automated system backups and tier-one security.
The mobile application platform provides companies with straightforward mobile application to efficiently implement their individual enterprise mobility strategy and build and deploy mobile applications that fully integrate with the most widely used smart devices including BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Android tablets, the company said.
The new platform also offers some additional features which include automatic Pyxis mobile platform upgrades, ready-to-use servers, complete server and network management, software installation and maintenance, server patch management, hardware and application monitoring and setup and configuration of daily and intra-day backups.
Pyxis Mobile EVP of client services T.L. Neff said that adding the cloud-based option to its comprehensive mobile application development platform is already used by most of its customers, and expects the demand for this offering to grow as more companies understand the benefits that hosted mobility can provide.
