Oracle has said that PHH, a provider of mortgage and fleet management services, has selected its Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Exadata Database Machine and the Fusion Middleware 11g stack for their new Common Technology Platform.

The PHH Common Technology Platform (CTP) is a standardised, shared services platform, built on Oracle technologies, that serves as the core IT foundation for PHH.

The Exalogic Elastic Cloud is an integrated hardware and software system combining processors and memory, an InfiniBand I/O backplane and integrated ZFS storage, with Oracle WebLogic Server, Coherence and other enterprise Java-based Oracle middleware products.

Oracle Exadata is a package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is scalable, secure and redundant.

PHH will also deploy the complete Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g stack, including WebLogic Suite, Coherence, SOA Suite, Business Process Management (BPM)Suite, Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack, Tuxedo, Enterprise Content Management Suite and WebCenter Suite.

PHH chief information officer Jeff Bell said they chose Oracle Exalogic and Oracle Exadata Database Machine to help standardise and give them greater visibility of their IT infrastructure, enable them to centrally manage their systems, free up resources and enable them to have tighter control of unstructured data and storage growth.

Bell said, "Oracle technology and resources (knowledge/expertise) are critical to the success of our Common Technology Platform and further differentiating PHH in both the Mortgage and Fleet industries."
