Oracle has updated its Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud to help businesses simplify their financial business processes and other technology requirements.
The updates should allow users to boost insight, to speed up decision making with real-time information access, to enhance productivity via social business objects, as well as managing controls smoothly, the company claimed.
Oracle Application Development VP Rondy Ng said that in the constantly changing global business environment, it is increasingly important for firms to simplify business processes, increase productivity and control costs.
"Oracle ERP Cloud is helping customers drive performance across the enterprise," Ng said.
Updated ERP cloud functionalities to Oracle financials cloud include multi-dimensional reporting platform, spreadsheet and imaging integration, role-based dashboards and work areas.
Other enhancements include automation, strategic sourcing and contracts, self service procurement and supplier portal.
Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Cloud should also offer better financial management, execution management and social and performance insight.
Oracle’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud features global inventory control, while offering flexible product cost management and enterprise product master data management.
