NEC is planning to launch UNIVERGE Cloud Services, a set of enhanced Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to improve IT operations, worker productivity and revenue generation.
UNIVERGE Cloud Services SaaS application’s first release is Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), a suite of voice, data and video services.
It features a Web-based end-user client which can be deployed across any device.
The UCaaS will be offered in three packages, basic, standard and premium, which are offered by its authorised network dealers and directly from NEC’s enterprise sales group.
The new release includes a range of user options which are packed together in a service-based model that is designed to replace expansive capital costs with an affordable monthly fee.
To gain mission-critical performance, UNIVERGE Cloud Services SaaS applications are delivered in geographically redundant virtualised environments powered by NEC’s proven cloud infrastructure.
NEC Enterprise Technologies Channel Sales and Marketing vice-president Larry Levenberg said as its industry is transitioning from infrastructure to software to services-base models, so will its dealers.
