Microsoft’s cloud-based ERP solution, Dynamics AX, is now available for companies across the globe.
The Microsoft Dynamics AX is available in 137 markets and 40 languages as a monthly subscription in three simple versions aimed atself-serve users, task users and an enterprise users.
Microsoft Dynamics AX, which was built on and for Microsoft Azure, allows users to make smarter decisions, redesign business processes rapidly and accelerate business growth.
The company claims that the solution enables customers to make smarter decisions with access to real-time insights on nearly any device, anywhere.
The new Dynamics AX brings ERP, business intelligence, infrastructure and database services together in one offering, allowing companies to run industry-specific and operational business processes that are expandable with specific solutions from partners.
Dynamics AX offers a modern user interface that is touch-enabled for the devices people currently use. It allows them to interact with the system like other Microsoft applications.
Microsoft also announced over 50 ISV solutions that are available on the Azure Marketplace. These are in addition to the more than 50 that were already available. Several more are in development.
Dynamics AX provides the business logic of a complete business suite, improved with new constructs like Workspaces that unite important performance indicators, business intelligence, views of critical data, processes and actions for increasing business user productivity.
The Financial Period Close Workspace streamlines the critical complex process.
Dynamics AX is already being used by global customers to run their business processes in the cloud from single domains such as human resources and manufacturing to end-to-end business.
Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise executive vice president Scott Guthrie said: "Today’s release is an exciting milestone extending Microsoft’s business cloud offerings.
"It’s now possible for organizations to run their entire business in the cloud with Microsoft — from productivity with Office 365, to business analytics with Power BI and Cortana Analytics Suite, customer engagement with Dynamics CRM and business operations with Dynamics AX."
Microsoft has recently announced that its database software will be available for the Linux platform starting from mid-2017.
SQL Server, Microsoft’s software for managing corporate data, will now run on Linux and promises to offer a consistent data platform across Windows Server and Linux, as well as on-premise and cloud.
