Despite being heavily linked with a bid for Saleforce, Microsoft sources have stated that the company is not considering making an offer.

Microsoft currently considers Salesforce‘s current market value to be too expensive, reports Reuters who cites people familiar with the matter.

However, a potential offer is not completely off the table as one of the sources believed that Microsoft may review a bid for the company in the long term.

With Microsoft having apparently distanced itself from a bid for the CRM San Francisco based giant, the number of potential buyers is looking increasingly small.

SAP, another company linked with an offer recently distanced itself with CEO, Bill McDermott stating that it had "zero interest" in its rival.

"We have never bought something that was impaired and in decline," said McDermott.
