Software and web services company Maxthon has partnered with Intel to optimise its browser-based GPU acceleration technology with Intel’s next generation of chips.

Maxthon leverages its cloud technology with Intel to create an improved GPU-accelerated browsing experience. The cloud technology will enables users to upload content and synchronise data across devices, said the company.

The partnership will add a new level of improved performance to media-rich web experiences including cloud services, gaming and video.

Maxthon CEO Jeff Chen said the company has collaborated with Intel to focus making the web faster for everyone.

"The current version of Maxthon 3 offers our first generation of our GPU acceleration technology. We look forward to what we can achieve by working more closely with Intel at the chip level," said Chen.
