Business software provider m-hance has appointed its latest batch of graduate employees following its second recruitment programme.

The company’s 2013 graduate scheme, run in association with Discovery Graduates, attracted more than 3,000 applications for just six positions – more than double the amount m-hance received for its inaugural graduate scheme last year.

M-hance’s latest graduate hires will be based at m-hance’s headquarters in Stockport. In total, m-hance received 3,367 applications for its positions within the areas of marketing, (1551) PR (962), consultancy (453) and market development (401). The new employees will receive ongoing support as part of Discovery’s OPEN Programme and have the opportunity to study for an ILM Accreditation in Business Leadership and Management.

M-hance’s commitment to providing opportunities to young professionals comes at a time when many graduates in the UK face uncertain futures. In August this year, a survey conducted by The Higher Education Statistics Agency revealed that 20% of graduates were still unemployed six months after graduating, with 17% continuing in further education, adding debts in excess of £30,000 with no guarantee of immediate employment on the other side.

Mark Thompson, CEO of m-hance, commented: "We are delighted to welcome our new employees, who did remarkably well to stand out amongst the most talented crop of graduates in the country. Although employers appear to be hiring fewer graduates in the current climate, we have experienced first-hand the benefits of hiring ambitious and bright young people who have brought with them additional skills, fresh ideas and vibrancy to complement our experienced and committed staff."

M-hance was recently named as the UK’s 40th fastest growing technology firm in the Tech Track 100 league table after achieving record growth of 79%. The company provides financial management and customer relationship management solutions that are complemented by a range of integrated cloud, mobile and social applications. To support its future growth strategy, m-hance is considering expanding its current head office premises situated in South Manchester.

Thompson said: "We are constantly evolving as a business and are committed to investing in highly driven young people who wish to accelerate their careers with us. Our previous graduate recruits have played a key role in our continued success and all of them now occupy more prominent roles within the business, from developing innovative new solutions which provide a rapid return on investment to our customers to supporting our worldwide expansion in the United States and India."

Following the success of its latest programme, m-hance is planning to commence the third wave of its graduate recruitment scheme in January 2014, which will focus on expanding its 50-strong consultancy team.
