Lenovo has launched new Idea consumer PCs, which are powered by third generation Intel Core processors or AMD A-Series processors, designed for Windows 8 operating system.

The new Idea consumer PCs include: IdeaPad U Series Ultrabook, IdeaPadY, IdeaPadZ Series laptops and IdeaCentreA and B Series all-in-one (AIO) desktops.

IdeaPad U510 Ultrabook is a 15-inch laptop, which comes with up to a third generation Intel Core i7 processor, 1TB of HDD storage with an optional 32GB solid state drive cache and up to six hours battery life.

The ultrabook measures just 21mm thick, weighs under 2.2kg and also features an integrated DVD reader/writer or Blu-ray Disc drive.

Lenovo said IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 are optimised for mobile gaming and multimedia and equipped with up to third generation Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT655M 2GB dual graphics, up to 16GB DDR3 memory and 1TB of HDD storage.

They also include UltraBay, an interchangeable bay which will allow users to swap out for dual graphics capability, increased storage space or an additional fan for cooling.

In addition, IdeaPad Y400 and Y500 comes with a 14-inch and 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD displays respectivley. They also include a dual-layer backlit AccuType keyboard with a large one-piece touchpad and JBL speakers and Dolby Home Theater v4.

IdeaPad Z400 and Z500 feature 14-inch or 15.6-inch LED backlit HD widescreen display, respectively. They also come equipped with up to third generation standard voltage Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce graphics technology and Intelligent Touchpad.

IdeaCentre A520 comes with a 23-inch 1080p HD display, 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processors with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 8GB DDR3 of memory with up to 1TB of HDD storage.

A520 supports 10-point multi-touch with a adjustable screen angle (from -5 to 90o flat) and IPS LED. It also includes Dolby certified speakers with Dolby Home Theater v4, optional Blu-ray Disc and a touch-optimised multimedia applications and games.

The Lenovo B Series all-in-one desktop PCs, IdeaCentre B340, B345 and B545, supports 10-point multi-touch technologies.

B340 and B345 comes in 21.5-inch and 23-inch (B545) with full HD widescreen frameless displays that support 3D vision.

The new AIOs come equipped with up to 3rd generation Intel Core i7 or AMD quad core processors and NVIDIA GeForce 615 2GB (B340) or AMD Radeon HD7470A 1GB (B345 and B545) graphics.
