JetBrains has released TeamCity 5.0, a distributed build management and continuous integration tool. TeamCity offers setup and continuous unit testing, code quality analysis and reporting on build problems.
According to JetBrains, the new version comes with Amazon EC2 cloud integration. It includes features such build configuration templates, project archiving, and backup and restore eliminate redundancy in configuring large build infrastructures. It features issue tracker integration with JetBrains YouTrack, JIRA and Bugzilla out of the box, plus an API for the integration plugins for other systems.
In addition, it also includes Maven support improvements including, simplified build configuration creation from POM file, and build triggering on Maven artifacts change. It comes with a command line tool for running personal builds on server without IDE integration and backup and restore facility is also added to simplify TeamCity maintenance.
Other improvements include, allows users to view status of change across all build configurations on a single page, stores actions made by users; and improved code coverage analysis for both Java and .Net, the company said.

There is definitely a strong demand for an extremely scalable, robust, and ready continuous integration solution.
