Infosys has released details of its Infosys Information Platform (IIP), which includes new pre-packaged solutions from Infosys Finacle and Infosys BPO.
IIP is a customised end-to-end data analytics platform that can be modified for specific business requirements.
It allows business to operate their data assets and find out new opportunities for rapid innovation and growth.
IIP also addresses the big data adoption challenges faced by enterprises including lack of accessibility to easy-to-use development tools, fragmented approach to building data pipelines, and lack of an enterprise-ready version of open source big data analytics platform.
According to Infosys, IIP can be placed on-premise or in the cloud and provide enterprises with industry-specific applications along with rich visualisation options to reduce user adoption time.
The platform uses an open-source technology stack that runs on commodity hardware and provides improved price to performance, which reduces the overall cost for companies.
It facilitates special tooling, which is crucial for enterprise usage; including version management, security, governance, one-click deployment, along with and multiple data adapters to reduce time-to-insights.
IIP includes new pre-packaging solution for Finance, which is being used to power Infosys’ customer analytics solution for financial institutions.
The solution allows banks to gain insight on non-profitable asset (NPA) analysis, customer churn and profitability analysis, which helps banks to optimize their customer engagement and management strategies.
Infosys BPO is also using IIP to power its ‘Forecasting As A Service’ offering, which allows companies to find out working capital improvement opportunities and improve customer experience in supply chain.
Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka said: "Open source enables us to deliver an enterprise class data platform to our clients and their end-users in entirely new ways – from security to quality to customisation to flexibility.
"With IIP, we are bringing a unique experience to our clients in their efforts to manage, understand and act on data – and in the true spirit of open source, we will share these enhancements and contribute them back to the open source community to help promote and advance both the reach and the speed of data driven innovation in the enterprise."
