IBM has signed a $1 billion deal with a Nordic IT services company.

The deal which is a 10 year agreement sees Big Blue selected by EVRY as its premier provider of cloud infrastructure services.

As part of the deal, IBM will transform EVRY’s existing infrastructure services and give the company access to IBM’s cloud resources and capabilities.

This will include providing services that run on SoftLayer, based in Fet/Oslo data centre later next year.

EVRY will lead the development of value-added solutions and services and will maintain responsibility for managing its relationships and delivering services to its customers.

EVRY hopes to be able to support customers with more technical innovation as well as reducing complexity and increase the use of industry standard components in customers’ infrastructure.
