Technology giant IBM and cloud storage firm Box have partnered to transform work in the cloud.

Under the partnership, the companies plan to integrate their existing products and services as well as develop new solutions targeting several industries.

The alliance brings together Box’s cloud content collaboration platform with IBM Analytics and Social solutions, IBM Security technologies and IBM Cloud.

Builders and developers will also be allowed to integrate Box APIs into enterprise apps and web services.

IBM’s enterprise content management including content capture, extraction, analytics, case management and governance will be integrated into Box.

IBM Watson Analytics will be used to bring enterprise insights to content stored in Box. The cloud storage firm’s capabilities will be integrated into IBM Verse and IBM Connections.

IBM Analytics senior vice president Bob Picciano said: "The integration of IBM and Box technologies, combined with our global cloud capabilities and the ability to enrich content with analytics, will help unlock actionable insights for use across the enterprise."
