HPE and Citrix are expanding their partnership to help customers to embrace new technologies across Hybrid IT and the Intelligent Edge.
The two companies announced a three-year strategic alliance that will see them deliver joint solutions, with an expanded portfolio of offerings built on Citrix and HPE Edgeline in the pipeline for next year.
HPE & Citrix have worked together for a number of years and have already brought to market joint solutions based on the HPE Edgeline Intelligent Edge Workspace Appliance with Atlantis USX software-defined storage, and the Citrix Cloud and XenApp and XenDesktop Service.
Both are also big partners of Microsoft, and the two will work together to optimise HPE’s Azure Stack offerings for Citrix workloads in addition to ensuring that mutual investments across all offerings with Microsoft are “aligned for our customers’ success,” the company said.
The two have a number of connections, with the majority of HPE Moonshot systems sold running on Citrix workloads, and over 35% of all Citrix deployments running on HPE infrastructure.

HPE says that one of the key factors behind the expanded partnership is that there are more customers looking for a hybrid infrastructure, which of course requires the best of public and private cloud offerings.
Christina Neary, Global Citrix Alliance Executive, Worldwide Software Alliances, Hewlett Packard Enterprise said: “Together we’re committed to build the best platform for Citrix on HPE, to drive innovation across the stack, and to leverage global services expertise from HPE Pointnext for help customers transform to a mobile-first digital workplace, turning ideas into innovation today.”
