Cloud hosting and recovery services provider Hosting.com has launched Enterprise Backup, an application that provides local and remote backup from any location and delivers shorter backup windows and rapid recovery options.
Enterprise Backup is combined with a pay-as-you-go model and uses redundant, fast storage architectures to deliver recovery four-times faster than tape backups, the company said.
The new application provides bare-metal and file-level backup and gives customers the flexibility to backup from any location: customer premises, colocation facility, or Hosting.com data centre.
Customers are billed only for the data they backup allowing companies of all sizes to have complete data protection.
Hosting.com Product Management vice-president Jim Potter said the company offers a managed backup application that remotely backs up systems from a customer’s site.
