Fujitsu and Microsoft Japan are strengthening their alliance to implement a global communications platform that can transform the work styles of customers of both the companies and rapidly accelerate their digital transformations.

The two companies will expand the implementation of the platform with combination of Fujitsu MetaArc with Microsoft's Office 365 and Azure ADP. Both the companies will promote the platform by jointly using Fujitsu Digital Transformation Center (DTC), Fujitsu's co-creation workshop space and the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC).

These initiatives will help partners in making over 200 proposals per year to customers on transforming work styles with ICT, which will focus on customer executives, who will be the internal drivers of work style transformations.

Fujitsu has a private-cloud-based global communications platform centred around Microsoft products for its 160,000 employees worldwide.

Technical assistance for this internal programme has been provided by Microsoft Japan.

Fujitsu is also planning to bring this service to the global platform. In order to do so, the company, in association with Microsoft Japan is working on migrating the private cloud-based service to a public cloud.

Operations of this platform will begin with Fujitsu’s 160,000 employees worldwide in March 2017.

Fujitsu says that if a company is using an enterprise social networking server such as Yammer, the new system can improve its ability to share knowledge and communications between business units situated in different geographic locations.

With Azure ADP’s adoption, the system can offer single sign-on and multifactor authentication in a multi-cloud environment with the compatibility of more than 2000 cloud services from other companies.

Fujitsu also says that the new system can be combined with advanced cyber-attack detection functionality using machine learning can offer greater efficiency and robust security.
