Guavus has announced that Manish Goel has joined the company as CEO.

Former CEO and founder of Guavus, Anukool Lakhina, handpicked Goel as his successor allowing Anukool to focus on innovation as the company expands into additional markets with systems for closed loop decisioning.

As CEO of Guavus, Manish will continue the expansion of decisioning applications for communication service providers (CSPs) and the enterprise globally. Manish left NetApp, a storage and data management solutions company, as the executive VP of product operations where he led all product technology strategy and delivery.

During his 11 year run with NetApp, Manish had also maintained positions such as senior VP and general manager, software group, vice president of enterprise accounts and president, India operations. He also held senior positions at Copper Mountain Networks, Cadence and McKinsey. Manish holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from IIT, Chennai and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

"Guavus is at the heart of a fundamental shift in the industry where social, mobile, cloud and big data analytics are converging to create unprecedented levels of business agility," said Manish Goel, CEO of Guavus.

"They are already established as the market leader for big data analytics for the Communications Service Provider (CSP) industry and have an enormous opportunity to be a multi-billion dollar business across enterprise markets globally. I look forward to leading the company through the next stages of growth as they redefine the next era in business applications by creating systems that support closed loop decisions and data-driven, automated business processes."

"Manish has shown incredible leadership and brings an exceptional track record of success in scaling technology organizations during periods of rapid growth," said Anukool Lakhina, former CEO and founder of Guavus. "His expertise is key as we look to capitalise on our significant momentum and take the company to the next level in terms of revenue, global expansion, and customer satisfaction. I look forward to working with Manish and the other company leaders as we begin a new chapter in Guavus’ history."

Anukool founded Guavus in 2006 to ‘unlock the value’ of operational, sensor and network generated data and reduce the economic and technology risk associated with deploying a traditional business intelligence solution. Moving forward he will continue to be actively involved in directing the technology, supporting sales and corporate development for the company.
