Fonality, North America-based business communications provider, has introduced trixbox Pro 5.2, a hybrid-hosted IP-PBX software offering designed for small and mid-size businesses (SMBs).
The new hybrid-hosted offering combines the reliability of a premise-based VoIP system with the flexibility of a hosted-cloud model.
The offering provides users with increased productivity and lower total cost of ownership while leveraging advanced Unified Communications (UC), contact centre and VoIP calling features.
In addition, the offering is an open standard, software-based IP-PBX offering that can be delivered with commercial servers and SIP phones.
By leveraging a cloud-based, hybrid-hosted model for remote management capabilities, trixbox Pro 5.2 simplifies the ability to add new features and users.
Further, trixbox Pro 5.2 delivers access to Fonality Heads Up Display (HUD), the UC dashboard that includes features like click-to-call, visual call parking, secure chat and real-time employee presence.
The trixbox Pro 5.2 provides: user-based system; multi-site unified communication features; advanced call processing; and proactive monitoring.
Fonality chief marketing officer Wes Durow said the trixbox Pro 5.2 platform couples reliability with flexibility and underscores their focus on meeting the specific communications needs of SMBs.
"With the hybrid-hosted capability of Fonality trixbox Pro 5.2, SMBs can leverage their existing communications infrastructure investments while liberating staff from previously overwhelming system upkeep and maintenance," Durow said.
