Expand Networks has launched ExpandView Virtual, a centralised management system that assists with large scale deployment, configuration, reporting and alerting across its range of physical and virtual Accelerator devices, and within physical or virtual environments.

The company claims that the new management system delivers application fluent network visibility to optimise application performance and bandwidth utilisation and provides trend analysis reporting to warn of, and control, potential capacity challenges.

According to Expand Networks, the new offering is suitable for enterprises with a centralised datacentre environment running virtual servers. It is also suitable for telcos, managed service providers and cloud providers offering WAN optimisation-as-a-service; grid computing offerings and cloud based services.

With Virtual Customer Partitioning (VCP) capability, ExpandView Virtual enables services to scale easily; organisations to support as many accelerators as required by running multiple instances of ExpandView Virtual, the company claims.

Adam Davison, corporate VP for sales and marketing at Expand, said: “With our range of virtual and physical appliances, coupled with our newly launched ExpandView Virtual management solution and virtualised licensing model, we believe we have the most flexible, scalable and cost-effective WAN optimisation solutions in the market.”
