EPAM Systems has partnered with 10gen, the company which has developed the open-source non-relational database MongoDB.
The companies have revealed that the partnership brings MongoDB to organisations looking for alternatives to relational databases.
EPAM Systems Technology Solutions vice president Alex Lyashok said Big Data and online channel optimisation trends will continue to drive the explosive growth in the use of the non-relational tools.
"MongoDB plays a crucial role in this ecosystem and EPAM is aggressively investing in the 10gen relationship," added Alex.
Various Web 2.0 and Fortune 500 companies, including Disney, Viacom, Intuit and Foursquare have already adopted MongoDB.
10gen said it offers solution architecture, development, integration and maintenance services for MongoDB, with which EPAM Big Data Competency Center enables the backing and scalability companies to integrate their products into mission critical applications.
10gen noted MongoDB will be available on a variety of clouds and platforms, and integrated with supporting hardware and software.
10gen is the initiator, contributor and continual sponsor of MongoDB, offering production support, training, consulting and online management services, for the database.
10gen is funded by Sequoia Capital, Flybridge Capital Partners, and Union Square Ventures.
