Dropbox has introduced two new features for Dropbox for Business, including Dropbox badge which allows people to co-ordinate more efficiently while working through the document.
The file hosting service previously introduced the beta version of Dropbox Badge, which is designed to allow users to collaborate inside the Microsoft Office documents and allow users to see who else is viewing and editing the file.
It also allows users to view the updated version of the file, as well as generate a link to share the document.
Dropbox said: "Nearly 13,000 customers have been using the badge through our early access program. It’s helped them cut down on long email threads, multiple file versions, and having to jump from app to app."
The second feature to be introduced is a new commenting feature, which is limited to users under an early access programme.
Just as commenting features are popular on social media sites, the new feature will allow users to easily keep discussions together within shared files.
Users with access to a particular link will now be able to post messages in the new comments sidebar.
The users can type the name of any particular collaborators by adding ‘@’ in front of their name, and further reminders can be sent via email by adding the email address in the comment.
