Dell has partnered with NTT Communications to integrate its self-managed cloud solution, Enterprise Cloud, into Dell-branded Cloud Services.
Customers of Dell’s cloud will gain new levels of control over their cloud environments, the ability to roll out complex cloud services globally, enhanced data security and faster application migrations.
The partnership focuses on Enterprise Cloud, which provides a high level of end-user control through its software-defined networking (SDN) architecture, allows customers to control where applications and data are stored and determine permissions and privacy levels.
The service will be provided on a pay-per-use basis with no upfront expenditure.
This partnership forms part of Dell‘s strategy to work with global and local partners to provide customer choice in terms of where cloud services are located.

Dell and NTT’s new combined offering is targeted at European organisations with an international presence, as Enterprise Cloud spans data centres in 13 cities in 10 countries.
