Dell and ikaSystems have forged a strategic partnership to offer advanced administration and care management solutions to help healthcare payers reduce administrative costs and streamline processes.
ikaSystems offers enterprise-level cloud computing software to help health plans optimize the allocation of premiums between administrative costs, medical costs and health plan profits.
The offering provided by ikaSystems and Dell will help healthcare payers to comply with HIPAA 5010 and ICD-10 transition requirements and reduce their Administrative Loss Ratio (ALR) as mandated by the healthcare reform legislation.
The healthcare payers can also carryout day-to-day operations such as enrollment, member and payment reconciliation, claims processing, billing and commission payments and customer service.
ikaSystems CEO Ravi Ika said combining Dell’s process excellence with their comprehensive technology platform represents a fundamental shift in BPO service delivery.
"The ability to collect information directly from its source and distribute the same information to every function that needs it reduces the touch points required to achieve each business goal, and will result in a level of financial savings hitherto impossible to achieve," Ika said.
Dell Healthcare & Life Sciences Services executive director Tim Quigley said they found ikaSystems to provide the best offering to help payers easily and cost-effectively reduce administrative costs, streamline operations and meet regulations.
