CloudTalk, a social communications platform that enables personal and natural communication through voice, text, photo and video, has unveiled a new app for iPhone and Android.
The new CloudTalk app includes social and multi-media capabilities and an intuitive user interface, which are built around the idea that people need to be able to use their voice to communicate.
The new app features include: multimedia sharing; group messaging; enhanced social conversations; Facebook and Twitter integration; and organised news feeds.
In addition, the new CloudTalk app features: voice messaging; text messaging; and public communities.
CloudTalk chairman and CEO David Hayden said the friction caused by phone calls when they cannot take them, and voice mail that feels like a dead end, is making it harder to use their voice in daily communications with their social circle.
"CloudTalk stands out as the only platform to put the power and convenience of voice at the centre of the social communications experience," Hayden said.
"And CloudTalk makes talking as easy as texting, so we can freely use our voices to convey emotion, avoid misconstrued tone and get a message across far more quickly and powerfully than text alone."
The company has also launched its App Platform and Partner Program at SXSW, which enables mobile and Web application developers to integrate a new dimension of voice, text and rich media.
