Web hosting company DreamHost has partnered with content delivery network provider CloudFlare to include its performance and security tools as part of DreamHost’s standard hosting plans.

CloudFlare will enable the shared web hosting customers to take the advantage of Content Delivery Networks by distilling the entire setup and configuration process down to a single checkbox and removing the cost entirely.

Hundreds of nodes will power CloudFlare’s network ensuring that websites load quickly and consistently, whereever the users are across the globe.

The Anycast technology from CloudFlare will work with static and dynamic sites, routing users to the node on their network for enhanced performance.

CloudFlare’s ‘Always Online’ technology will continue to serve cached content, even if the hosting servers on which they are housed become temporarily unreachable.

The Web hosting company has also worked with the CloudFlare team to create ‘CloudFlare Plus,’ a bundling of the content delivery network provider’s popular features available to DreamHost customers.

CloudFlare Plus is an optional paid upgrade which adds automatic image optimisation and support for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connections.
