Web, audio and video conferencing services provider BT Conferencing will use the Polycom RealPresence Platform (Polycom RMX) to power its Video-as-a-Service (VaaS) application for Polycom deployments.
The deployment will enable the two companies to help employees, partners and customers collaborate face-to-face across multiple platforms and devices.
BT Conferencing’s video cloud is powered by RealPresence to offer managed video collaboration service, the company said.
The video cloud will enable BT Conferencing customers to select Polycom RMX bridges to manage calls or events. BT Conferencing now can offer video collaboration that is interoperable across video conferencing systems.
Polycom RealPresence video systems are added to the video cloud which will enable BT Conferencing to connect to multi-vendor UC environments and applications.
Adopting the Polycom RealPresence Platform also enable BT Conferencing to extend cloud-based collaboration, including immersive telepresence theaters, video room and desktop systems and software-based video for laptops, tablets and smartphones
BT Conferencing’s VaaS offerings are integrated with its online communities that customers can use to schedule automated calls on a day-to-day basis.
The video cloud also includes BT OneCare maintenance that offers support for on-premise video conferencing systems.
