A major worldwide agreement has been signed between Blue Coat Systems and Dimension Data.
The agreement will see Blue Coat deliver its global managed cloud web security service, with Dimension Data rolling the service out in the first quarter of 2016.
Blue Coat’s Cloud Generation Web Gateway combined with Dimension Data’s managed security services portfolio, is designed to give customers real-time threat protection, without on-premise equipment.
One of the benefits to customers will be the ability to enforce consistent global security policies across wired, roaming and mobile environments, the companies said.
Michael Fey, president and COO, Blue Coat, said: "Cyber-attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and dynamic; therefore enterprises require integrated solutions that safeguard their networks and data across all locations and devices."
Matthew Gyde, group executive, security for Dimension Data, said that the deal would help to accommodate customers that are increasingly migrating corporate applications and critical data to the cloud, while demanding cloud services for web security.
